Notes & Combos

For anthology June 2023

This is a fork of my Rikka-sunavalon deck (used for ranked). I didn't wanted to invest too much into this so there is a lot of suboptimal choices.

What you can change if you want :

The link 2 and 3 can be changed for a dryas link-4 and another melias (they are UR). Another Thrasher isn't a bad idea.

Rose girl and the synchro are mediocre. Circle saved me once (more normal summon is so good...) but it's weaker than more Sunavalon. More mudan would have been better (but i only play one in my main deck, didn't wanted to use my SR dust). Rose girl is another primula and can be used without the synchro (with better effect but non searchable)

Sunseed shadow is okey but not mandatory.

I didn't tryed the maiden but since veiler and imperm are targeting and the only common handtrap it should be playable.

You can add 3 anti backrow card.

Flurries and tranquillity can be used as tech.

Twin can be played at 1 but if you get it in hand you must have Unexpected Dai or you are dead. It's a good turn 3 normal summon.

Combo :

Goal is to summon the big link 4 tree to get bloom when go first. And support it with rikka if possible.

Main Sunavalon combo : Loci => Dryas => sowing (or shrine if sowing in hand) => sowing sumon twin from deck and Dryas sumon healer => twin/healer/Loci into melias => Melias/Dryas into Dryatrentiay (and a loci who can be used for Mudan or a thrasher).

Main Rikka combo : Petal => mudan => Konkon => set sheet. If you have the trap in hand or it's turn 2 get glamour who can search any rikka name (Princess usually) and sac an opponant monster.

If you have mudan : get a monster on the field and repeat the combo above if it's locci go full sunavalon combo (and congrat you have full combo)

Trap is less usefull without the terrain because it's a board breaker (Sac 1 change of heart the other). You can still use your monster to steal their main combo piece.

A few reminders : The trap give attack to Dryatrentiay with 2 thrasher you have a 8K monster. Melias effect can make thrasher atack twice (yeah that's OTK). Dryatrentiay can use melias to pop 3 (!!!). Using Rikka terrain sac effect is soft once per turn. Princess need a rikka name on the field, sheet don't.

Deck weakness is backrow. Dark magician => bannish is painfull and a terrible match for this deck. Most opponent monster can just be sac for cost by your rikka or killed by your 4k beatstick so only backrow is a real problem.
