Notes & Combos

I initially wanted to play Live Twin Fiendsmith, but I had a hunch that Nib might be really strong in this event so I switched to a build that doesn't conflict too much with Nib. There still isn't perfect synergy because you can't use Sanct with Nib, but overall the deck works decently well. I played a bunch and was able to win 7 in a row off rip, but it was more up and down after that. A good amount of the losses were due to not being familiar enough with opponents' decks, but I think that's also what makes events fun.

In terms of the deck, I feel like it doesn't play as well as the concept of it might seem. Going first, you may or may not be able to trigger Musketeer effects. When you don't, they just serve strictly as a vehicle to go into your Fiendsmith engine, which is still fine but passing on Desirae + handtraps is just not that exicting. Going second, the Musketeer cards can be very strong, but only against negations and not removals. It just depends on the type of board that you're playing into. You can check out my replay to see an example of a successful board-break.

Despite it's flaws. Overall, I do think it's a very fun and formidable deck. If you want to play a Fiendsmith deck, I would definitely give this a try.
