Notes & Combos

In the current handtrap spam environment, I wanted to cram as much gas as possible into a Tear list, since the alternative of playing handtrap spam mirrors is very unfun. To do this I adapted a Snake-Eye Tear list from mila and came up with this.

Trivikarma and Rainbow bridge are insane discards for Diabellestar, Super Poly, Droplets, and Perfume, while also being really good mills. They really helped with gassing through boards and giving massive plusses from milling.

Probably the unexpected MVPs were Flamberge and Verte.

Getting to Flamberge was my win-con against anything that set up a macro-cosmos type effect, and just playing Flamberge Control can win you a decent chunk of those kinds of games.

Verte is necessary as part of the Diabellestar/Snake-Eye 1.5 card Curious line, but also game up several times against Lab and Superheavy Samurai. Verte turning 2 of Labs big ladies into a Garura can let you unexpectedly OTK, and Verte 1st effect making Bagooska dark and 2nd effect to fuse with it can be game-winning if you pull off the right setup around it.

Luna body spam was also helpful when OTKing or trying to reach a setup through interaction. They were slightly brickier than the other engines and rely pretty hard on either a way to discard or getting your mills in to function, but the number of games that were won by pushes from the Luna engine outnumbered the number of games where they bricked me.

This deck plays pretty uniquely compared to other Tear variants, and getting used to it was relatively difficult, but it was very fun overall.

Feel free to ask any questions about the deck, either in the comments or by pinging me in the Tear channel on Discord.
