Notes & Combos

Feels good to be back after taking a few months off of playing 8a seriously.

Notes:

• Ratios: The ratios are goofy because this format is goofy. Lava Golem is really good sometimes and other times you want to be able to normal Denko. I didn't find it to be inconsistent though which is what matters.
• PEP Line: (Any 4) + Destrudo (becomes a level 3) + an 8. PEP is really good at OTKing and is overall a fantastic addition to the deck. Shoutout to Spraahz for pilling me on it originally.
• Extra Deck: You rarely make Chaos Ruler but it comes up enough to warrant the spot. Spots 14 and 15 are up to you, I chose Dharc and Unicorn which did come up several times but arguments can made for additional synchros, rank 4s/8s, etc.

Scattered Thoughts

• Fire Loli is good sometimes and completely dead other times. Its so matchup dependant that Id never play more than 1. That being said, I did tribute Borrel/Apo/Dragite/Unicorn vs Adams once. Card is an autowin if it tributes at least 2 guys.
• The Melody stuff is fun, good, but ultimately not a priority in a deck that already costs you a second mortgage. Eschatos wins games on its own though and should be played. I have the varied handtrap lineup to help facilitate it as well. Leviar is mostly used for its 3 Light effect but each effect came up at some point in my climb.
• 4 backrow wipes is the minimum that I would play. 6 total with Denko and then targeted options between Sauge/Big Foot/TBird. Fear god folks, it pays off in the end.
• KELBEK IS CRAZY. Seriously, play this guy. He's a handtrigger bounce and if your opponent negates and destroys it all of a sudden you have Snow/Orochi/Levi/Eschatos opportunities you would have had to work for.
