Notes & Combos

  • This is my WF FS deck, a little different from usual. The need to include FS was implemented so that Droll isn't so devastating, allowing you to at least leave something on the field for your opponent's turn. As you can see, I'm running the entire FS package. This is mainly to enable the 1.5 card Light Fiend combo, which can be run with Link Spright and Rextremende. It's a real lifesaver because, although it might seem silly, I feel that even with the new support, the deck is lacking starters. Yep, the field spell is fantastic, but it only provides three more consistent cards, and in return, many more somewhat awkward cards that you're now forced to run.
  • Another reason for including the FS package is your end board. If your starter was a field spell, it's mediocre because you won't have access to your Azamina fusions. FS solves that since Engraver is level 6 (Baronne) and has Sequence (Desirae or Caesar). They'll tell me that the field spell is mainly activated after summoning the Azamina fusions, but that's an ideal scenario where you opened with a good hand or your opponent didn't interrupt you—unrealistic for me.
  • And I only run two Azamina fusions because of Extra Deck space limitations (the main reason I couldn't run S:P, and to be honest, you really only need Rcielago and Silvia). Also, the FS cards are incredibly useful for baiting out interruptions, and since we're running four copies of Tract, being able to draw it via Wanted and Rucia makes it likely you'll continue to extend your combo.
