Notes & Combos
You already know how I roll when it comes to Dice Rally events were Xyz monsters are available. Another Utopia deck, this time vastly different from the Utopia deck I went for last year's Dice Rally thanks to the new support cards.
This time around the main highlight is the dynamic duo composed of Utopic Future Zexal and Starliege Photon Blast Dragon. UFZ is the "target magnet" while he is on the board, pair that with Starliege and the opponent cannot target ANYTHING on the board at all and Starliege protects every other Xyz monster from destruction effects, so the only outs are any form of non-target removal known by mankind or dealing with Starliege first since his protection effect doesn't apply to himself.
Once again, Utopia was the main deck of choice because two of the three bonus objectives lined up in that deck's favour and said bonus objectives are met just by playing the main playmakers.
- Summon a Light monster: Name an Utopia Xyz monster that isn't a Light monster and you'll see why I chose the deck.
- Summon a level/rank 7+ monster: Utopia Dragonar is part of the endboard, alongside his dragonic partner in crime Hope Harbinger.
- Play Quick-Play Spells: That one I usually ignore because two of the best quick-play staples (Called by and Crossout) can't be used in non Cup related events. If I get either Forbidden Droplet or Cosmic Cyclone in hand, good, that extra 150 points after the duel, if not, no big deal.
Also, you know by this point how the deck handles most freebies the game gives, so to briefly recap, monsters with a level can be Onomatopickup modded, everything else can become Astraltopia fodder while most spells and traps are Onomatopaira/Astraltopia/Dugares fodder unless they have actively useful effects which may come once in a while.
