Notes & Combos

T.G. With Assault Mode and Dino engine.

I tried several different halqifibrax engines in this deck, all of which had to provide some additional to support the combo. This is because the standard T.G. Combo ends on a very lacklustre note when alone, often making cosmic blazar as the only interruption, and requires whatever engine you use to compensate for this relatively weak setup. I went through Diva/Atlantean, which currently isn’t consistent enough without small world, despite powerful hand loops, and Dino P.U.N.K., which whilst being the best at playing through interruption, was often easy for the opponent to beat, as gabu blazar simply wouldn’t be able to close out games. Not to mention that neither of these engine groups had a plan B when you don’t have a T.G. in hand. I eventually settled on Assault Mode T.G. as used previously by R1ceChrispie. The advantages seen here are the ability to sit on a synchro 8 if needed- not an ideal play but it saved me a couple times, and the ability to set up more powerful end boards, in high roll cases making omega hand loop, Ultimate Conductor Tyranno and either Cosmic Blazar Dragon or T.G. Halberd Cannon with Assault Mode Activate ready to fire you into T.G. Halberd Cannon Assault Mode. This deck is rather linear to play, as it is often just make Halq make Trident and go from there. Setting up anything additional that you can beforehand. There were, issues, namely drawing Assault Mode Activate, but overall it was worthwhile.
