Notes & Combos
Currently waiting until IoC to feature this deck rundown in a video! But I will still attach my replays (462-550-029) for those that have asked about this build and how to play it. More or less, I think I've finally hit a sweet spot on what I've decided for an endboard for an Auroradon build.
On most lines, this deck ends on the following:
- 1 Apollousa (2-3 monster negates)
- 1 Borreload Savage (omni negate)
- 1 Herald of Arc Light (omni negate, floodgate and droplet counter)
- 1 Knightmare Gryphon (floodgate and Anti-Spell Fragrance searcher)
- 1 Anti-Spell Fragrance (floodgate that forces your opponent to use droplet/cosmic/Runick cards in the draw phase where you can better deal with them. Also prevents your opponent from using spell board breakers in the Main Phase like Lightning Storm, DRNM, etc.)
- 1 SPYRAL Sleeper (free quick effect pop 2, what's not to love)
The main weakness of this endboard is Superpolymerization; fortunately, you have the luxury of knowing your matchup going first and can abstain from adding Herald of Arc light to your endboard in these situations. Usually Anti-Spell is enough to kill most fusion decks anyway.
Best thing about this build though is that it's IoC ready! Later on this month, when the Dark Magician support drops for Master Duel, this build should not change significantly; simply add 3 Preparation of Rites and 3 Illusion of Chaos and it's good to go.
3 Chicken Game is optional, but if you have them, I've found they work pretty well with this build to turn on Selene more easily.
