Notes & Combos

This is the deck that took me to D5 at the last day of this season.

My list only differs from the other SPYRAL Tearlaments in small ways.

I run pretty standard ratios of the Tears, SPYRALS, Ishizu and access to Magicians Souls. You can definitely change these around to change your access to these engines, but this is what I found gives you decent mill consistency and least amount of bricked hands.

I run what I have not seen another SPYRAL Tearlaments list on this site run in Appointer and Gryphon.

It's the pretty standard SPYRAL line of sending appointer with Curious and setting it with Gryphon, but people often opt out of it because they send Rainbow Bridge with Curious. I often found myself either havin access to Perlereino anyway or having milled Rainbow Bridge while comboing, and then I'd have nothing great to mill with Curious, which is why I added Appointer.

I also found that the non-Gryphon version really didn't make great use of a cracked SPYRAL hand, because it didn't have any great link-3 or 4 beside Apollousa to go into.

So I settled on this version. A full endboard would consist of: 3-Mat Apo, Gryphon, Sleeper and Last Resort, Rulkallos and set Appointer.

The deck is very non-linear though and you could also have things like dweller, Kaleido-Heart, Dragostapelia or even a set Super-Poly from Gryphon on your endboard if your mills are different.

------

Overall this deck has an insane turn 1 and can lock out basically any deck from playing. You can even know what you're playing against by using SPYRAL GEAR Drone.

It struggles pretty bad going 2nd though and can really only hope the opponent has fewer interruptions than you do starters. Or hope that your opponent activates their own ishizu cards and kickstarts your plays for you.

-----

The next banlist doesn't really hurt this deck too much, as you have an insane amount of cards other than FBGoods and Instant Fusion to help the deck anyways (e.g. Monster Reborn, Foolish Burial, more Illusion of Chaos, ...).

Replays

Unfortunately I don't have many replays, as most people just scoop during the combo, or the deck just insta-loses going 2nd.

Replay 1 (vs. Outsider) is going 1st and shows off "full" combo and endboard.

Replay 2 (vs the person with the asian name) is going 2nd and shows off a version of the combo to OTK with.
