This list is heavily inspired by XtraptriX's writeup at note[dot]com/xtraptrix/n/n6a79f83dfdd8 and KngOzk1's tweet at twitter[dot]com/KngOzk1/status/1647634803024605184 (and rodan4432's video at nicovideo[dot]jp/watch/sm42078890 kinda, since they ran Called By). See their materials for more insight than whatever I can give. Is it better than trap-heavy Traptrix? Probably not since all the Vernusylphs are -1s at best if the opponent has interaction, but Atrax is cute so Treacherous Trap Hole builds that can unironically run her are always a win in my book. 👍
Since this festival limits shuffler access, I've cut down my trap lineup even further since they can't be relied on to keep errant traps out of the GY so that Treacherous Trap Hole stays live:
For those unfamiliar with this style of deck, the bread and butter of the deck is to search/draw TTH and use it every turn, setting it back on the field with either Sera SS'ing Dionea or Cularia's effect. XtraptriX's writeup includes a video demonstration of how that's typically done the first few turns. Of note, the Vernusylphs make it reasonably realistic to get both Sera and an additional Traptrix to trigger Sera to search TTH, so hard-drawing Mantis isn't nearly as requisite as older builds of this style.
Returning to the shufflers, since they aren't nearly as ubiquitous for this event, Called By seemed like a reasonable inclusion for insulation against Ash, etc. Likewise for Desires as an Ash magnet: none of the one-ofs are typically turn ending if they end up banished, and these builds run 2x TTH regardless, so I'm reasonably comfortable assuming Desires won't banish both copies. Rookie mistake, I know.
Vernusylph Vera is the main 4fun inclusion. Pankratops is a blind second staple that can contribute on his own when going second. Vera can help with board breaking too, but she requires a small Vernusylph to ferry her onto the field which is a bit bleak, especially going second. I can basically get most of her upsides more safely by swapping for another Triple Tactics Talents, but I got a copy at glossy rarity so I'm **** well going to use her, at least for a while.
Tenyi Adhara is mainly to make Naturia Beast because I can't move on from Imperial Order's ban. Barring that, either Vernusylph fodder or link fodder. (pretty much the only reasonable way I can access Knightmare Phoenix before Vernusylph's EARTH lock)
