Prerequisites

  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  1. Click here to copy the export code

  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the browser console => Paste the export code there => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code and hit Enter
  4. Save the deck
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

This deck aims to turbo out 5+ material Barian Hope with Rhongomyniad in the GY to copy. This shuts down most strategies including going-second ones (i.e. Numeron and friends) which in my experience seem to be gaining popularity as the festival progresses. This list is based on うたまる's list, who inspired me to play the deck after kicking my **** with it. I have a screenshot of their list at imgur[dot]com/a/MwdlpCN for comparison. It's also similar to Tapharrell's list for this festival as another point of comparison.

The main combo is:

  • Bait Ash where possible with spare searches
  • Ensure we've drawn or can search Zexal Field during the combo
  • Get two of the fish on field that count as level 5 for an XYZ summon, can be:
    • ((Piri Reis ->) Beautuniful ->) Buzzsaw Shark -> Lantern Shark
    • Either of the latter 2 + Crystal Shark or Dream Shark special summoning themselves from hand (or GY for Crystal)
  • Overlay two fish into N.As.H
    • If there's another monster on the field to suck up, Nash's effect is material-neutral while doubling as removal
    • Impermed, etc. level 4 fish aren't valid material
    • Zexal Field must be on field at this point to attach material on next step (or this step)
  • Overlay Nash into CXyz N.As.Ch, attach Rhongomyniad with Zexal Field effect
  • Nasch effect into C101 or C104, detaching Rhongomyniad to GY
  • Overlay C101/4 into Barian Hope
  • Barian copy Rhongo's effect

If I don't have access to Zexal Field, usually I'll just sit on Bagooska if possible. If the fish on field don't make Bagooska, I will do the above combo up to C101/C104 minus Rhongo detach of course. In those cases, Nash's effect is important to attach the corresponding 101/104 as material so the C variants have their full effects. If I suspect it's Numeron (Maxx C-like responses -> maybe it's Wall) I like C101 over even Bagooska because it can take 3 Gate attacks and self-revive for the fourth, so they have to draw Kaiju or be smart with Called By for lethal.

Some miscellaneous notes:

  • If Barian gets negated/Rhongo banished on turn 3+, I usually aim to make it a 6-material Zeus.
  • Foolish Burial is essentially an extra copy of Crystal Shark, which I value over Beautuniful because:
  • If you can get Dream Shark -> Crystal Shark on field, the normal summon is still available, so Piri Reis can search Astraltopia to normal instead
  • I prefer Zexal Construction over Astraltopia because it can be used early to bait Ash, and I lose less if it does get Ashed.
