Notes & Combos
There are often people asking about a non FTK variant of the deck in the Gem-Knight channel wich got me curious as how that would play out.
Just went with what you'd play normally in the Main anyway instead of going for Seeker/Analyzer so the deck doesn't just devolve into diet Adamancipators, cut LAO tho just because i didn't wanna go -4 for something that doesn't win me the game anymore.
The end board aimed for is Nat Beast + Baronne + 2/3 Mat Apo + I:P + Block. Sadly the things you need to get to your nigh infinite resources take up so much ED space that it didn't seem feasible to go for a better board. You could easily make another Rank 8 XYZ/Link 3/4 with the cards you have instead of just making I:P but all those options kinda suck except Hope Harbinger, who you don't really need if you have Nat Beast anyway, or possibly Verte + DPE, wich is just more bricks in the main for almost the same payoff.
While imo this deck is quite a lot worse than the ftk variant there are some positives:
- People holding interaction for your burn fusions just for you to drop Apo/Baronne and them being screwed completely is funny.
- If your opponent opens every handtrap under the sun you can reasonably still make some form of interaction instead of just burning them for a bit.
- Hands that wouldn't FTK still do something.
- You get to fish for the most cursed lines humanly imaginable to fe. revive Researcher with Cross Sheep so you can make both synchros.
The downsides however would be:
- Maxx-C is pretty much a auto loss because it actually matters that you give your opponent 700 draws if you don't kill them.
- You can just lose even with full combo if your opponent opens cards like Droplet.
- If you have full combo you would have had FTK too so you are just making it harder for yourself for no reason.
- You still sometimes just die to like an Ash on Scorpio so in reality you aren't that much more resilient to handtraps.
