Notes & Combos
This deck is what carried me to duel lvl max. Im going to be honest: I hate this meta. i wanted to fidn something with enough non engine tp jot get shat on going second, the ability to create explosive boards going first, and also consistent. Unchained fits all of those. Fiendsmith Unchained is, in my opinion, the best fiendsmith varient right now specifically because of this meta. The deck was extremely gopd at grind games before fiendsmith are now only better. And due ro the being a fiend deck, Aerial eater bridges into Unchained seamless making all fiendsmith cards on card full combos. Even with that in mind though; the deck shouldn't be thought of as a one card combo deck. It is a two-three card combo deck. It relies heavily on high impact non engine and the ability to play through just about anything thanks to its ability to trade positively into any kind of non engine thats not Maxx C/Fuwa. you want to be drawing two unchained cards and a fiendsmith card, but two fiendsmith and one Unchained is just about the same quality (three unchained is pretty good too depending on the cards). Problems:
- Even though consistency isn't an issue I found myself drawing hands where I had multiple normal summons OR half of a two card, a brick, and the rest of my hand being non engine. And for some reason Shyama was glued to my hand CONSTANTLY. Drawing bricks isn't too horrible though thanks to Abominable Unchained Soul being able to discard (this is also why it's good to play charmies in this deck)
- Maxx C and Fuwalos. They fold to these two cards going first 100% of the time if you don't have a counter. This problem is heavily mitigated by your non engine choice (thank to being able to use droll with noo consequences). You possess the ability to play 8 counters in your deck. So you're drawing the out rather consistently. Things to note: The extra deck is VERY tight; if I had more room I'd be running necroquip, unicorn, more rank 6s/@ zeus package, and a second copy of Rage. Due to bricks being required in engine I chose not to run the Fiendsmith trap to mitigate unplayable hands. Ask any questions in terms of how I play it down below!
