Notes & Combos

I got bored of playing Voiceless Voice after experimenting with a gimmicky Ryu-Ge variant, so I went back to my Libromancers and picked up an old version of them.

Honestly, the potential of the Libromancer effect monsters feels wasted on their own ritual monsters, so I swapped them out for Skull Guardian and focused on leveraging the effect monsters' solid stats.

The deck runs three independent but synergistic engines:

  • Voiceless Voice

  • Libromancer

  • Mathmech

Libromancers act as the bridge between the ritual and Cyberse plays. They can summon themselves off any ritual in hand, with Fire and Magigirl leading cleanly into Primathmech Alembertian.

Voiceless Voice isn’t essential here—it functions more as an engine the Libromancers can exploit. Once Mitsurugi drops, the synergy between the two might tighten up, but for now, it’s still a bit of a mishmash. Feel free to try out different strategies—nothing here is set in stone.

If KONAMI ever releases a proper Cyberse ritual archetype or some proper support, then Libromancers could finally reach their full potential. But as it stands right now, this deck isn’t particularly strong, so don’t expect too much from it. But if you’re looking to experiment with Libromancers, this is definitely one way to approach it.

One of the inspirations for this deck actually comes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, where Yami Kuroda uses Libromancers alongside Mathmechs. Check it out if you're into Libromancers.

This replay’s a bit dated, but it still shows what the deck can do and the kind of end board you’re aiming for. I meant to save better ones, but they got cleared in the last season reset.
