Notes & Combos

The decklist has changed overtime throughtout the WCQ.

•Originally it ran Supay and Supay, Duskwalker, but it was replaced with Tenyi Spirit - Shthana.

While Duskwalker can get to Arionpos by herself (as long as you can discard something), it's very weak to Ash Blossom and Maxx "C" (they draw 2 cards immediately) and it's rather inconvenient when paired with Abyss Shark as you're locked into synchro monsters. Duskwalker also requires you to run a brick as drawing Supay literally does nothing to help you. Drawing multiple Duskwalkers can also be a burden. Shthana provides similar benefits, although requires you to have a tuner in hand, it doesn't require a normal summon to be brought out, and can be normal summoned if necessary.

•Piri Reis Map was originally Ash Blossom (but Ash Blossom returned as 2 after removing Supay)

The map allows you to have a more reliable hand in your starting turns as it allows you to search for Beautunaful Princess (that can become a Lifeless Leefish) or Paces, depending on what you have in your hand. Even if every other card is a brick, being able to into the Leefish and send Shif into the GY lets you make Arionpos, then a level 8 synchro if you banish Zep with Arionpos.

•The extra deck have seen changes over the time as it used to run Ruddy Rose Dragon and Stealth Kragen Spawn. To what they were replaced varied throughout, but it mainly shuffled between Dragite, Abyss Dweller, and Coral Anemone.

Ruddy Rose Dragon was only helpful once in the entire time, and while I do like the potential of dumping every single card my opponent's have, especially against Tearlaments, it is rare I get the oppurtunity.

Stealth Kragen Spawn is nice to have, but there's not a lot of room in the extra deck. The Kragen Spawn is only useful in specific matchups that cannot get rid of Stealth Kragen without destroying it. I don't often go into Kragen in general.
