Notes & Combos

Board breakers: DRNM is the best card in this event, playing 1 Book of Eclipse as a pseudo 4th copy. Originally I had Evenly in that slot, and there are some advantages of running Evenly namely having it as a target for Designator, but it can also be weaker because you still have to deal with a Lancea after you resolve it. Board breakers are also good specifically in this deck because they can be discarded as part of your main combo, which is a similar concept to how Branded can afford to use more board breakers.

Hand traps: Droll is generally quite good, but can be hit or miss in the mirror as there are combos that only search once off of Mirror Mage. Hand traps have good synergy with this deck because of the Croco draw 4 combo. The Lancea + Croco draw 4 end board is very strong because the recouped hand helps diversify your setup.

Engine: Just 1 Diva because it feels consistent enough. 13 one card starters in total counting Foolish, Swap Frog and Prosp. This deck has lots of 1 card starters but is very reliant on the normal summon, so you don't want to run too many. Swap Frog is theoretically a good extender if your normal summon gets Imperm'd, but never came up for me. Not sure if it's actually good.

Brionac - You need bounce effects to out Lancea and Ran Aegirine

other Brionac - If you only need to bounce 1, this doesn't open you up to your opponent taking your Brionac off of Eria

Eria - Good in the mirror, similar concept to Snake-Eye mirrors

Packbit, Kragen - Never came up. 2nd Lancea is most likely more correct but I just wanted to have more options in there to try. Packbit specifically never came up because if you have access to level 8s, you most likely also have access to level 6s which can bounce.

I learned this deck from scratch just for this event, it took me a while to figutre out but once I got the hang of it it felt so strong. Had a 12 game win streak just before this submission.

Hexa -> Crocodragon + 4 draws

Revealer -> Lancea + Dragite + 1 draw OR Lancea + Spellbreaker + 1 draw

Diva -> Lancea + Ran Aegirine + Spellbreaker + 1 draw

Diva + Speaker/Spellbreaker/Winds -> Lancea + Ran Aegirine + Spellbreaker + 1 draw

*Mirror Mage can substitue if you already have Revealer
