Notes & Combos

Had a very quick and fun run through the entire Event with this in about an hour or so.

Funnily enough, the Deck seems to be very strong, which is amusing considering how destroyed it is by Konami in this Event. Stun always finds a way. We have the most obscure unheard-of dystopian alternatives at our disposal.

Notes:
  • I built this in about 10 minutes of brief testing, so it probably isn't optimal. There may be better techs available in the format, so feel free to experiment. The deck overperformed regardless; I won like 80%+ of my Matches.
  • 3 copies of each of the Banishers as well as 3 Gendo since they are the only generic strong Floodgate Monsters Konami decided to leave unharmed. They also are great against most of the Decks played, such as Naturia.
  • Speaking of Naturia, Dimension Fortress Weapon was the MVP. Terrific floodgate against Naturia. The Deck can't really do that much if they cannot foolish. The very few stuff they can do can be easily dealt with your Traps.
  • Book is broken in this format. Naturally, since there's no links here. Also very handy paired with Warning to get rid of high threats that you cannot run over battle (Main Weakness of the Deck) [Related to this, I didn't run Dogmatika package because the only good target for Punishment is N'tss -which could also end up turned off by Impulse- + Banishers conflict with the whole thing].
  • Power of the Guardians is mandatory IMO. Not just to protect your Floodgates (since Golgonda is banned), but also to run over stuff. Otherwise a simple Set Ash can stop your entire Deck. You may even want to consider this at 3.
  • Mirrors are here just to protect Floodgates. Compulsory is also a very interesting option, although after a tiny bit of testing I opted for mass removal instead (Your floodgates are really small, especially BOTL and Gendo).
  • Dominus Duo + Imperm makes your going 2nd quite good. This is mandatory unless you want to auto-lose going 2nd.
