Notes & Combos

I played True King Swordsoul for this event and had a blast (when I wasn't facing Tenpai and Blazar)

The true kings provided additional ways to extend and get bodies onto the field to put up additional boss monsters or play through interuption. I made my own innovation on this list by running the Xeno cards to pop the true kings and summon out Xeno Meteorous which helped at breaking boards by making Baron or even in the odd case Legatia which could pop and draw while chainblocking with longyuan(this came up twice).

Some of the True Kings were weirdly tuned to break through certain boards really well like the water one which, if negated can be used for another true king or longyuan, if it is negated and destroyed just summon Taia for Baxia, and if it resolves a double water pop could be devastating.

The tenyi's are bricks with no monk but I really liked the ratios I played. 1x Ashuna to dump to play through nib, 2x Adhara to turn True Kings into synchro 10's/Chaofang, 2x Suruya didn't opt for 3x because it didn't fit True King attributes and didn't do enough on its own but it is solid, 1x Shthana for better Ashuna coverage.

Everything in the extra came up except Psychic End, Scarlight, and Draco Berserker. Legatia was a great include because it provided recovery after nib, could break through boards while being chainblocked, and provided an additional option for tokens left with synchro 8's for lethal lines/boardbreaking.

If Diagram was legal I would be playing it because it would be searchable off of the new Tenyi Synchro but sadly True King got caught in the crossfire of true Draco.

Overall it was a very fun list to play. The deck went through a lot of changes but the final product felt pretty good. Just know that there is another Swordsoul variant to play instead of just pure.
