Notes & Combos
Going First with 3x Sloth?!
Still working out the details of the exact sloth build I want but so far this is what I have come up with.
Sloth is obviously a powerful card going 2nd, and should be a hard brick going 1st, but is it worth the dead draws??
I'm trying to answer that for myself and build a list that I think handles the current format well.
Card Breakdown
- 3x Sloth: The heart of the deck and why I am comfortable with some conditionally bad draws like Gamma, RT cards going 2nd, Fuwa going first
- Fuwa: Without this card, you are so very very very unlikely to ever resolve Sloth into an actual endboard. Also, of course drawing into dead Fuwa and using Sloth to put them back is the dream. Fuwa can also be a good NS with a negated RT monster or Cyanos for Camellia
- RT Engine: Honestly it doesn't matter if you draw sloth/fuwa going 1st if you have access to RT engine, because it basically lets you end on a strong enough endboard to beat all the going 1st merchants anyway or at least live and resolve Sloth next turn. Also I found myself really missing MST and wanted more access to it
- Gamma: Being able to put back driver with sloth is lovely, and Gamma to negate droll or ash on your turn 1 into Omega handloop is basically game 100% of the time
- Upstart: Weak into droll but I really want to deck thin for Sloth going 2nd
- Cyanos: Cuttable but kind of nice to discard a useless spell and summon itself (especially if you're under droll and don't need to worry about charmies anymore)
Cards not included:
- Originally I had Area Zero and Multirole to be able to use Sloth going first for something but sadly those cards were just consistently not doing enough so I cut them to make room for RT engine
- Super Poly: Another way to discard sloth and good into some OP boards but I needed more room for starters to make sure I'm not bricking with so many cards that are bad going 1st. Also kind of wanted the ED room back for other utility (I'm a big believer in 4 super poly targets if you do run it)
- Fallen & Virtuous: Couldn't find room for it but I think we have all hypnotized ourselves into thinking it's meta warpingly powerful instead of just good
- TTT: Both Tactics are good but I have enough potentially dead cards

I upload my ranked matches every month with annotations to explain my thought process! Please check it out if you have time! Hopefully I'll have a video out at some point for this specific version of the deck
