Notes & Combos

A special Turn 0 focused brew that has been really really fun for me!

After TANKING my Rating to 1400 playing blind second Ryu-Ge, I switched over to Killer Tune and had a very smooth climb back up to 1560. Unfortunately I was gone for over half the month on my Honeymoon, so not enough time to push really high in Rated but this deck has felt really awesome and I have been enjoying my climb a lot. My losses generally feel like either my own mistake or the opponent having an insane hand

Deck Details:

• 1 Ogre: I don't think it's that strong as a 1 for 1 handtrap but as something you occasionally want to summon off Cue I think it's very handy
• 3x Retal C: Striker and power spell heavy decks often special summon with spells...and Retal C just absolutely punches a hole in their plan while also playing very nicely with Clip/Hop Ear to make Silvera for a book of eclipse while searching Maxx C
• 3x Fuwa: Not a tuner or super synergistic but I want to draw into my Turn 0 plays and also KT kinda struggles into FULL boards
• 1x Purrulia: Against popular opinion I think this is a pretty hand card in several matchups, but I don't really ever want to see multiple
• 2x Duelist Genesis: Basically just the overtake replacements, but I really don't want too many power spells in this version of the deck based on what I am going for
• 3x Clip: This version of the deck really wants to play early. Because Clip is now generally a 1-of, people also very much do not play around a turn 0 reco or mix pop. Also setting up the Track Maker early helps a lot vs potential droll
• 3x Hop Ear: Helps to turn Clip or Mix into combo as a level 2 tuner, and also diversifies your way to synchro summon during opponents turn. Very strong with retal C or if you retain an extra normal summon through your combo you can even normal a charmy and make silvera on their turn. Most common use is leaving a track maker on field and turning into Loudness War

Extra Deck:

• Shooting Riser: Didn't come up much but can be made with Retal C + level 3 KT monster and a contact C out
• Quariongandrax: The secret goat. They leave Retal C on board to not give you Maxx C and assume as a KT player the banish hurts you, then you normal a Reco or Mix and immediately can make this bad boy for banish 3
