Millennium Exodia Rate 1585.44 52 cards

Last update after more testing in ranked games. I’m not planning to push further.

I ended up on 52 cards. I decided to increase the deck size slightly because I kept opening 2 Exodia pieces at 50, which helped smooth out some of the worst hands.

I decided to add Dimensional Shifter, even if it has anti-synergy with Fiendsmith, because it’s basically a free win vs Kewl Tune, which is what I faced the most.

I decided on 3 Wedju Temple. Even though 3 can feel bricky, the chances of opening multiples in a 52 deck are lower, and opening it gives you immediate access to Shield, which can bait Ash and help you not lose to Droll.

Kewl Tune is still a tough matchup, but if you open Ankh and search Gaia, you have a good chance to win. Going second in general is still rough. I kept a heavy hand trap count, trying to consistently open at least two interruptions to force weaker boards and have a chance. I’ve won some games thanks to the Fiendsmith engine. Because of that, I decided to run 2 of the bridges and links so Kewl Tune doesn’t cut off my access to Fiendsmith.

I tested more variants, including Odion and pure builds, but they still feel worse in the current environment. Azurune Trap denying Synchro summons is strong, and Super Polymerization wasn’t a reliable board breaker, especially since Kewl Tune can see your hand and play around it.

I still suggest hiding the Exodia depending on your hand, using Galatea as a mate and Orcust sleeves can create small advantages if the opponent misreads the deck.

I decided to keep Sanct because when I don’t open any Millennium engine, searching it with Engraver helps me not lose to Droll. It has been performing better than expected and has won me some games.

I’m not sure if this is the best version or if I just had a good run going first and opening well going second. Still hoping for new Exodia support someday.

I’d like to know if anyone else is experimenting with higher card counts, different ratios, or other engines.
