Notes & Combos

Hecahands does not make Azamina better, BUT Azamina does make Hecahands better by increasing its ceiling, reaction speed and resilience to handtraps. However, the amount of engine that Azamina requires forces to play Hecahands just as a sub engine. And even though there is not a real bridge between these archtypes, there are some interactions that make it fun and worth to try.

First of all, the illusion type monster make possible to special summon Hecahands Jauzah by tributing 1 Azamina monster + 1 monster you control owned by your opponent. This means that the gameplay usually starts with Azamina to bait or check some handtraps, so if they negate cards like Mu Rcielago, you can still tribute it for Jauzah. You need to hard draw both combo pieces though.

On the other hand, the Sinful Spoils in the Deck get more value of the shared illusion type.

• SINFUL SPOILS OF THE WHITE FOREST (SSWF): if you control an illusion, spellcaster or fiend monster you can special summon 1 monster of those types from hand, or fusion summon 1 monster using materials from hand or field. This allows to extend by special summoning a Hecahands name from hand or to dodge a targeting effect on a Hecahands or Azamina monster by hard fusing into Jauzah.

• SUSURRUS OF THE SINFUL SPOILS: you can target 1 illusion or spellcaster monster you control; return it to the hand or ED, then special summon 1 illusion or spellcaster monster from your GY or banishment. It helps to dodge targeting effects on Diabellestar, Azamina or Hecahands monsters. This is particularly good when you send a Hecahands name to the GY with Diabellestar as you could dodge, follow your game plan and still get a tribute fodder for Deception. This card is also good for follow up and recycling.

• DECEPTION OF THE SINFUL SPOILS: You can tribute a monster from hand or field to add an Azamina card, which is another way to put your Hecahands names in the GY, so you can reborn them with Susurrus or Azamina Moa Regina. This also triggers the effects of Hecahands Ibtel and Yadel in GY.

You can search these Sinful Spoils with Mu Rcielago, and they give Hecahands more ways to put names on the field without giving a card to your opponent, which is quite risky by drawing them a handtrap. Besides, you get extra value whether you chain Azamina Debtors or you chain them to The Hallowed Azamina, as you get both an Azamina fusion + a Hecahands name on the field. These quick play interactions give Hecahands the speed they lack.

• WEAKNESSES AND COUNTERS: Despite the great sinergy, the abscence of a real bridge creates akward or non playable hands. It is low on non engine. Decks with a big amount of Spell & Traps like Branded or Mitsurugi make difficult to hit a monster. Cards like Superpoly or Kaijus disable the counter traps. And droll & Lockbird forces to build and always play around it, which explains why it runs Azurune + Sillouhatte Rabbit (illusion for Jauzah btw), and only 1 copy of Yadel and Hidden Hecahands.
