Notes & Combos

I spent 3, maybe 4 days climbing with this deck starting from Platinum 5.

Right now 1 Gravedigger's Trap Hole is great answer to Nibiru when making Rafflesia on your 5th summon.

Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare is phenomenal as a negate with Rafflesia on your opponent's 2nd turn. It overperformed for me, but I think 1 is fine.

Impermanence and Evenly were played at 3 to help with going second, since they're Trap Cards you can discard them to enable Sera's 2nd effect via Holeutea going first.

During my climb, I noticed alot of people didn't respect the Maxx "C" when going 2nd and would try to push for lethal. 2 Nibiru was a very nice addition halfway through my climb.

The board I'd try to make going first was Sera, Rafflesia, Redoer (w/ Holutea attached) and a backrow. It's 5-6 interruptions depending on your GY and what you started with.

Floodgate wasn't great all the time, 2 felt like alot sometimes but I'll probably continue to play 2.

Pudica is the weakest of the "Searcher Starters" but the extra Normal / Garden SS offers alot of utility. I opted for 3 Pudica 2 Garden, but it's a preference thing.

The correct thing to interrupt in this deck is Sera, pretty much always, but especially when I'm going first. Veiler or Ashing the Sera SS from deck on my Holeutea activation can shut me down pretty hard.

2 Dionaea is amazing, the Normal Summon effect is phenomenal and setting a trap hole via SS is just as good, since we're playing 3 Pudica and 2 Garden, it'll come up a lot.

Things I'd consider changing.

-1 Pot of Prosperity

Extra Deck is tight, and it's all valuable.

Things I'd be forced to banish are Lightning, Goddess/Atypus, 3rd Sera, Traptrix XYZs and 1 Rafflesia if blind digging for 6.

-1 Floodgate Trap Hole

2 felt like alot.

-1 Utopia the Lightning

Never came up. It theory it could, but it didn't for this climb.

Things I would consider adding/re-adding:

+1 Time Space Trap Hole

I used it at the start of the season it was good.

+1 Bagooska, the Terribly Tired Tapir

I've used it, and it's good but not always in this version. Here you want to hit your opponent's chokepoints so they end on an attack position monster and nothing else. I promise it's more likely than you think.
