Howdy y’all finally got to master with my f2p deck so I wanted to post my unconventional techs and why they are actually based. First off is my dawg Chaos Dragon Levianeer or CDL for short, fits like a glove in any branded pile deck as if you are able to establish a board you will most likely have at least 3 monsters in the grave and it’s a free hand rip and on rare occasions it can trigger branded regained and be searched with magnahut. It’s also a main deck card with a destruction effect that doesn’t target which is good in this meta where everyone has a card to protect from targeting. Speaking of the meta since the cats came out 2 Kaijus are necessary which I replaced my 2 merrli with (rip) as well as replacing my 3 copies of super poly with allure and that was the change that got master 5. I also cut verte as I went 8 games without making it once and when I did make it it got negated lol. Dramaturge>Ad Lib for a few reasons mainly Ad Lib was a brick half the time and most times you’d rather search the other 2 despia cards over it and the dramaturge negate has won games on its own. After branded fusion was tragically limited the edge imp engine was readded but with all the cards at 2 instead of 3 as they were getting bricky. I cut the Ishizu cards because of the banlist as well as adding an extra copy of retribution which has helped a bit. Alba-Lenatus is an instant win against dragon link going second and without it the deck struggles a lot more. Called by got cut on accident but I rolled with it without noticing so clearly it wasn’t that important. I also experimented with nemesis and TD Col but it ended up hurting more than it helped so they got cut for bir and chimera again. Something to note for chimera is that you can summon it through ecclestia but the effect won’t work but if poly is in the grave it still is untargetable I mainly used this for tear cards I had in hand or edge imp or even tragedy. Grass is the best card in the deck still and always bait before you activate it might try left arm offering next season but honestly am still in shocked it isn’t banned.
