Notes & Combos

This is the updated list of my Season 15 Witchcrafter Dogmatika entry. Will probably upload replays soon. Sorry about the situation. Just too exhausted playing this game as it coincides with my hectic schedule.

Changes Made From The Previous List:
  • Since Merrli is currently forbidden and Grass is limited, Witchcrafter Tearlaments is not reliable anymore for the GY advantage. The same situation applies to the usage of Eldlich as an engine for this deck - although it can still be helpful in some matchups since most of the combo lines are nonlinear. Eldlich can also be used as an extender and for OTK or game-ender purposes.

  • Edel is still the most essential card for this variant since it enables recovery options for most of the main deck monsters (except Illusion of Chaos) and for extra deck ones (mainly Vice-Madame and Winda). Omega comes next with its recyclable utility.

  • Completely replaced the Magician's Restage package with Duality for more flexible options since the deck does not rely heavily on Grass anymore.

  • Time-Tearing Morganite could also work if most of the utility cards are aimed on easily summoning Edel but it would disable the quick effects of Iris, Fleurdelis and Aruru. Also used Droll & Lock Bird interchangeably in some duels that is why I do not find it necessary for this variant.

General Outlook on Konami's Treatment of Spellcasters
  • Master Duel: Endymion & Dogmatika are probably the good non-tiered spellcaster archetypes to play in the current format since Kashtira can also be easily incorporated with those 2. Exosister, as a Warrior-Spellcaster hybrid, is also nice with the new Spirit support.
  • OCG: Majespecter got some new support cards recently but that was it.
  • Rush Duel: Considering the Magical Knights that are used together with the Sevens Road monsters, this is probably the best format for Spellcaster duelists. Although... Sevens Wonder Fusion & Sevensgias are still both ban-worthy when abused by "Dragoncaster" decks.
  • Duel Links (Speed): Altergeist is now a decent deck with the recent support even if Memorygant is still unreleased.

Overall, hoping that Konami would find a way for players to be not too dependent with Secret Village and with Winda but instead focus on consistent or linear rotations in the future releases of Spellcaster archetype(s).
