Notes & Combos

Made it to Master 5 with a very experimental version of Gishki Spright, where I tried to max out on both endboard potential and staples by cutting down on the number of Gishki cards.

I liked the nimble package a lot, since it turns Sprind into 3 disruptions (arc light negate/merry bounce, sprind bounce and forest negate). Overall I'd say that the increase in endboard power won me more games than I lost by drawing into bricks, but if I wanted to take this to M1 I would definitely swap to a more consistent version of the deck.

My main complaint about having a low Gishki count would be that I had to rely on Photomirror quite a lot, and using Photomirror stops me from being able to use Nekromirror as a pseudo-kaiju on turn 3 due to LP cost requirements. The Gishki ritual monster can also potentially be used to extend if you draw enough of the components, which is another good reason to play a bigger Gishki package.

TLDR: While this deck was very fun to play and competent enough to get me to Master 5, I'd definitely cut the nimble package for more Gishki stuff if I wanted to climb higher.
