Notes & Combos
22-5 record
Please don't play auto lose to droll simulator Seventh Tachyon and Chaotic Elements.
This deck eats droll for breakfast, ending on Ripper and both releases = 2 hand disruptions and 2 pops. Since you play so many extenders you usually summon Umbral Horror as well and back everything up with handtraps.
To compensate for the low ceiling of pure K9 you have to play the Outrigger Extension Ariseheart stuff, it's your go to xyz to make after Ripper. Also a lot of lists don't play 2 Goliath, they suck? It allows you to still make your unkillable Ariseheart without a Naroi in grave.
Ariseheart Combo
- Summon River Stormer, search Crab Crane
- Link into Goliath, tribute for Crab Crane and don't activate Goliath GY effect
- Crabe Crane banish Goliath, search Outrigger Extension
- Link into Goliath 2, use River Stormer GY effect
- Attatch Goliath 2 to River Stormer, Outrigger into Ariseheart
You can equip Goliath 2 to another xyz instead like Umbral Horror, and then use Ariseheart effect to suck the banished Goliath. Make that play only if you've looked at your opponent's hand with Naroi because it's risky.
Never summoned Arc Rebellion or 2nd Ripper.
Replays
It's K9 you know how to play it, but some general advice for anyone trying to get better at MD:
Always play around handtraps, I've skipped so many Jokul searches to summon Ripper first and play around Droll. I made sure I have a 5 interruption combo that only nets 1 draw to Fuwa.
Consistency is how you climb. If you can cut bricks your winrate will sky rocket. Does a card really need to be played at 3? cough Lantern, I never bricked on my extenders since they were all 1 ofs.
