Notes & Combos

After weeks of grinding, I finally got this deck to Masters. I'm not gonna cap, this deck is definitely rogue. There are decks in the format that are bad matchups, but not all of them. I decided on a handtrap and breaker approach for the format, and going second isn't actually bad, both of your engines go into boards pretty well. Deckbuilding choices: The non-engine cards work so perfectly with each other for going first and second. Fenrir is amazing in this deck; he's free fuel for the Hecahands search spell (Special Fenrir, search another copy, send by Heca Spell and set a bonus trap, Special Summon the other Fenrir from hand). TTT is really good for Hecahands because of the "steal a monster" effect for going second, which can help you break their board and make Jauzah. And best for last, my spice card, GRAVITY CONTROLLER!!! Tbh, it's not the best breaker in the game, but it sure did win me some games as nobody expects it! You can tribute the big main deck Hecahands monster or the Chimera starters on the field as a response to Imperm, Veiler, and target negation when going second, and force a disruption or STEAL. Every "take control of an opponent's monster" card is very good in Hecahands, so after trying to find a breaker for this deck, THE MIGHTY CONTROLLER was my spice pick. Let's talk engine. Coatl and Swordknight are your best starters, so 3 of both (we don't talk about Droll) and 3 Chimera Fusion, it's an amazing extender and great for going second to make Guardian Chimera or just dodge negation. Then I'm playing two Gazelle and Berphomet. Upping Gazelle to 3 isn't the worst idea because it plays well into Fuwa, but I think it isn't necessary. The Berphomet at 2 was very good for me. You go into him once on your turn and once on their turn for max advantage, and he gives value by reviving anything from your GY. He can also be used as a starter if you go into your Heca engine first, as it gives you a body but doesn't use your Normal Summon. I'm on 3 Mankibuel because you can make Dandalos for going second and threaten their board. The Chimera multiple-attack Fusion monster won me so many games, it's ridiculous, amazing card. Zombie Vampire is great for transitioning from the Heca engine into Chimera. The Level 6 Chimera fusions are amazing on your opponent's turn for reviving from the GY or banished, don't underestimate them. Overall, I think that this deck is an example of what a healthy deck in Yu-Gi-Oh should look like (ban Droll pls).
