Notes & Combos

Overview

This is yet another entry into R-Ace's growing footprint onto Master Duel's meta. In this list, I focused less on extra deck combo strategies that expand the deck's cieling and instead opted to build around targetting protection and the Zealantis OTK. And in the main deck, I switched the non-engine to directly manage going 2nd weaknesses the archetype struggles with.

Essentials

Most of the information from my previous Master 1 decklist still applies apart from the information regarding T-hertz (I feel like the T-hertz combos int into Nibiru too easily, and the boards are easier to break). But regarding Fire Attacker, I swapped it in for Fire Engine because of how this brew leans into board breakers and extenders for Turn 2. While this build doesn't use the traditional breakers like Droplet or Super Poly, I've found that Enemy Controller fills the role for Droplet for less cost, and that R-Ace naturally finds its way to targetting protection through standard link climbs with Proxy F and Elf. Cosmic, of course, is there to deal with any backrow, and is particularly helpful in pretty much every MU thanks to how it banishes instead of destroys (especially vs. Stun).

Extra Deck

As stated, this extra deck is focused on finding targetted negation at multiple points throughout the duel, and usually after a protecting card like Elf is negated. Moreover, I've added Reprodocus and Linguriboh in to provide protection from Evenly Matched specifically, as I suspect more people will be boarding into Evenly with the rise of R-Ace. Attached are replays that show off lines into Proxy F and Elf + Linguriboh (as well as the Elf-Earlie-Princess line from before).

Conclusion

R-Ace is vastly growing in power, and the name of the game for them is flexibility above all else. I'll hopefully be making a follow-up to this in Master 1 very soon, as I enjoy the budget friendliness of Enemy Controller and Cosmic Cyclone. Best of luck with this brew should you try it out for yourself, and let me know how your games go!
