Notes & Combos

I went through many previous iterations including various 60 card piles featuring a heavier lab presence, eldlich, and pure variants with heavier card draw (reckless, fortunes). However, I found the deck performed best when it was able to resolve Reasoning and Needlebug nests. Cutting it down closer to 40 allows us to more consistently hit these power cards. Landing any of the lab cards through Reasoning is very powerful (much more so than Absolute King Back Jack or Snow) and sets up the grind game.

The deck is pure grind with the only turn 0 interaction being 3x imperms. This means it loses hard to combo decks that setup multiple negates or quick interactions that pop your backrow before you can activate them. Games are long so I won't be pushing this through Master 1 like I normally would, but it is a fun change of pace to the combo heavy format.

Reasoning limits our tech choices, but some honorable mentions that may have a place are:
