Notes & Combos

Once gain I want to showcase the fusion of the best and worst archetypes in the game, this time with some changes to be legal under the next banlist and additional notes.

I tried a lot of different versions and stuck with this one. It's not the most consistent, but makes up for the lost Super Poly in terms of the ability to go second with F&V and is a lot flashier than before.

For the changes, I removed Dugares. The idea is great, however he only very rarely comes up. To fit in the F&V targets, I also took out Theseus. Kewl Tune usually plays around it after seeing Super Poly in your hand and you will do that less with two copies. Lastly, I cut a Sentinel, since it is the worst starter, highly searchable and as long as it isn't banished, always recurs itself

You can go many directions other than F&V as well. I tried Burial Goods and an additional Grief, which both start and extend Tear plays. A second Breath, since it technically is a Tistina starter and milling it feels incredibly bad. Triple Tactics as a boardbreaker that isn't useless going first.

F&V usually isn't good in Tear lists, since you never want to mill extra copies. However, this one doesn't need to mill as much as convential Tear decks, is more oriented towards being able to play going second and also has the Extra Deck space. My favourite use cases are when you go first and pop either a Tear name for a fusion, Sulliek to search a starter or Scream after your combo to add an additional endboard piece.

I still would not remove the Shufflers, since as aforementioned, there are cards you want in your deck and Tistina doesn't have the greatest recursion. They also blank Rindbrumm, Quem, Kagari and the Elfnote Trap.

Finally, I want to mention how this deck deals with popular handtraps. It's amazing into Fuwa, with the endboards usually either being a live Demigod under no draws, either Kitkallos with Cryme and Havnis in hand for two disruptions or a Varudras with a Demigod, both for one draw, or a combintion of the two for two. Droll is tricky if you don't have access to a Tear line, best Tistina can do is Varudras. Never add a monster of Kitkallos, remember to always send it to grave first and reborn. Tear is great at eating one-for-one handtraps or negations to isolate your Tistina combo afterwards. Maxx C is rough, Kit with Cryme and hopefully a Tear name in hand is the best case scenario. If they have Shifter and combo, you lose, there is nothing you can do.

I once again made two videos featuring some fun/interesting duels I had with various versions of this deck.

This time I included some more duels where I went second. Super Poly is a big hit since that card did wonders for me in those cases, another reason why adding F&V felt right, to compensate for losing a copy.
