Notes & Combos

Climbed from P5 to M5 with Archfiend (w/ Fiendsmith & Kashtira)!

The deck is pretty fun to play, with several different lines to choose from, and if you already have Fiendsmith cards and staples it is cheap to build.

A strong point for this deck is that it has a clear OTK plan. If Archfiend Emperor's effect goes through, you get to clear the board, and using Emperor's other effect you summon Regenesis Archfiend, which then grabs Regenesis Sage, providing you with 3500atk (with field spell) + 2500atk + 2500atk for a clean OTK.

It also has great grind game, with most of the cards having some form of recycle.

However it also has a set of cons; the deck requires you to run multiple bricks, and going 2nd is usually really tough without droplet/hand-traps. If your goal is to climb ranks fast, I cannot recommend this deck.

Common matchups:

Kewl Tune - Very winnable going 1st, but tough going 2nd. Dies hard to Elfnote variant going 2nd.

Sky Striker - Mostly 50/50

Branded - Another 50/50

Enneacraft - This deck absolutely eats Enneacraft almost all the time, whether going 1st or 2nd. The only time you likely lose is if you go 2nd and they have both Dimensional Fissure and Vanity's Fiend on the board.

Some cards that you can consider adding/cutting:

Simul Archfiend - This card can turn Sky Striker matches into an easy win, but only if you get to go 1st. I used to run it, but decided to cut it to reduce the amount of bricks in the deck.

Fiendsmith Rextremende - I am currently running it to spice up the matchups, with it being a mini-tower and having great synergy with Kyrie. Great against going 2nd decks like Tenpai, but Caesar is usually better against most decks. Feel free to cut this.

Extra copies of Requiem and Sequence - I like those with the increase of extra deck rip cards like Kashtira Unicorn, and in grindy games, I do not want to worry about scenarios where I cannot make my plays as they are not in my ED.
