Notes & Combos

List probably has unrefined ratios but the climb from lower/middle diamond to master 5 was smooth enough, so I'm dumping the version that I promoted with. May add replays later, leave me some suggestions.

This is mostly an excuse to play with some of my dogmatika cards that have been collecting dust. Fiendsmith+Mimighoul will get you more mileage, but this was surprisingly nice.

The main idea is that you start on Mimighoul plays, and in the process you're probably going to turn on a TTT or Dogmatikamatrix by having dudes activating/existing on the opponent's field. Think Ken+Gen but without the mental anguish of having to figure out what to do with giving your opponent face-up material. When you're done making your mimighoul setup, a pretty high % of the time you're going to have Nadir Servant/Dogmatikamatrix/Ecclesia or a thrust to grab a Nadir Servant. By then, you've probably exhausted their interaction and get to do some light extension with your Dogmatika stuff for a few extra interrupts with things like fleur, cartesia off lulu, and an extra deck rip or 8.

Tips:

  • NEVER yolo rip with Alba Zoa. Always check with matrix first. You will get blown out by branded, fiendsmith, or the random tenpai player with an ultimate slayer package. This deck doesn't really extend past Alba Zoa by sending herald, so you shouldn't feel tempted.
  • If you're out of control and not getting interrupted, just lob Giant Mimighoul into the extra monster zone. You'll run into board space problems otherwise.
  • Be mindful of your Ecclesia activations. Summoning Ecclesia from hand instead of end-step often means that you're cut off from getting Fleurdelis unless you matrix yourself for Titaniklad.
  • Probably common knowledge for people who have played Mimighoul before, but Mimighoul Room for Dragon, flipping important material, then popping a big board by flipping the dragon with master or maker banish is the dream.

Comments on individual cards / substitutions:

  • Bystials: Really good hedge against going second, especially since Magnamhut can grab your ideal normal summon. Can substitute Droll & Lock Bird but you'll miss Magnamhut.
  • Fairy: 2 is probably the ideal amount, but 1 is fine. I'd cannibalize the Dogmatika engine pieces to make the space.
  • Fleurdelis: Somewhat flexible slot. Good but board can get crowded.
  • Luluwalilith: Need 1, happened to have a 2nd for Granguignol summon but it's not really needed.
  • Punishment: Replaceable, can hedge against maxx c in a pinch.
