Notes & Combos

It just sorta clicked with me while grinding this season that I have a way easier time with this deck when my opponent is already set up. So, I decided to fully commit to that. Cut almost all the handtraps and threw in Gizmek Uka and Forbidden Droplet. Uka can sometimes force the opponent to contend with a Mirrorjade on their turn 1, which they can't easily remove without wiping their own board. Alternatively, if you're confident in your position you can use it to grab a Dogmatika starter, although I've only done that once.

The three Nadir Servants really helps going second, also. A hand with Nadir, Droplet, and a superfluous monster can break any Blue-Eyes board I've encountered and does a real good job messing up anything Fiendsmith. The big problem this deck has is Mermail Atlantean, but I didn't run into that enough on the ladder to feel the need to tech against it. The couple of times I did, Droll or Maxx C could handle them, but that is a weakness of their deck, not a strength of mine.

The ED is so tight on this list. This is ultimately what got me the final push, but all sorts of things went in and out of there. Sometimes Rindbrumm wasn't there. Sometimes Artemis was. Ultimately this is what I settled on. An argument could be made for cutting Herald, and if you do that then cutting White Relic enters the conversation, but as bad as White Relic can be going second, it also just sometimes let you dome your opponent for 5k and kill them instantly. If you try this out, I would recommend experimenting with the ED.

Yes, you can run Aluber in here to increase your odds of getting Branded Fusion. Yes, this does brick the deck instantly 9 times out of 10 if he gets negated. When I was still going first with the deck I considered it, but Dogmatika needs too much of the deck to devote much space to the Branded component. Besides, a lot of my wins with Branded Fusion were it eating a big negate so that Dogmatikamatrix could go through.

Sanctifire is nearly useless. When turn 3 comes around you're summoning Albaz either off of a Rindbrumm set up on the last turn, with Quem, or with Incredible Ecclesia, both set up with Luluwalilith. If you're gonna do a one summon Branded Fusion, let it be Titaniklad using either Alba Zoa or Bystial Lubellion. Alba Zoa can be summoned back using Titaniklad with Dogmatikamacabre, but that's much more of a going first play, and you generally don't want to do that if you can help it.
