Notes & Combos

Still using the same list D5 list from the other day.

The only 2 ED cards I believe that I didn't use once in my D5-M5 climb were Raff and Dweller.

Dweller is great, however, it's a horrible turn 1 play in Traptrix, as the other top decks [Exosister/Spright/Floo] don't really care about it and 1700 attack isn't enough to surive the turn normally. If I happen to go first and open a name and Brigandine, my go to play is always Redoer.

Raff is just Raff.

As for matchups

Tear is just as troublesome as before. I had a few games where a single handtrap ended my opponent's turn.. however, they had something like Cryme or Gravekeeper's Trap set, happened to mill a miller, and I was basically donezo right then and there.

Spright feels harder going second against now than before thanks to every list basically using Catty + Pinny. If we go first and don't open all the anti-Tear cards, we can hopefully stop them. Strike/Judgment are great and Floodgate can be perfect as well if they don't open Nimble/Swap Frog.

Otherwise, their end board is very troublesome. Red/Carrot + Forest + Catty + Elf + I:P + whatever backrow/handtraps they have. If you summon a monster, they can bounce Catty, make your monster unable to attack and either get an omni negate out or bounce your monster, so you can't even stick to Sera. Never mind if they just go into Avramax alongside their negates + bounce + attack negate.

zeroender was using Mirror Force in their current list, which might help some, as good players don't summon further if they have a good board/game on board, so you might be able to hit them with it if you have follow-ups like Strike/Soul Drain/Fissure. It'd be interesting to try it out, however, I'm not sure what I'd want to remove.

I am glad that I added in another Strike though. It really is just a strong card all around and can even stop Spright searches when they special summon with a level 2 on field. While not great against Tear mons, it can at least negate GY activations still.
