Notes & Combos

Back with an updated version of the deck after climbing from Diamond 4 to Master 5.

Huge shoutout to @bartto_DM since his list was the starting point for this build. After a few games, I made a couple of changes to better fit my playstyle.

Harmonia I ended up preferring Fallen of the Virtuous over Harmonia. Harmonia is still a strong card, but Fallen put in a lot more work during my climb. Being able to pop any face-up card comes up often, it can dodge interaction by popping your own monster, and sending Albion lets you search another copy for follow-up. It just felt more flexible in this build.

Future Silence / Dark Magician Girl I swapped the ratios to 3 Future Silence / 2 Dark Magician Girl. Future Silence is the better one-card bridge into the DM engine, and having easier access to the extra spell makes the DM → Elf Note lines much more consistent.

Master of Chaos / Turn Silence I ended up cutting both. Master of Chaos almost never came up since I'm only running a small DM package and I'm not playing Soul Servant to recycle Gaze. Turn Silence is a cool card, but I preferred adding Crossout Designator instead to help against Maxx "C", Fuwalos, and other hand traps. It also made my hands feel less bricky overall.

Evenly Matched This card honestly overperformed. It won me a lot of games against Branded and Dracotail by cutting their boards down enough for the Elf Note engine to take over and establish Baron, Crystal Wing, Rhapsodia, and follow-up.

There are still a few flex spots in the Extra Deck depending on preference, but overall I've been having a blast with this version. The Dark Magician package blends surprisingly well with Elf Note—it extends your plays, baits interaction, and gives the deck another angle going both first and second.
