Notes & Combos

Originally, I was only playing one Chaos Hunter, which I summoned with Mannequin Cat. But once I reached Diamond 1, everyone and their mom was playing Maliss, so I made some changes, 3 Droll for 3 Chaos Hunters, and it definitely made a difference. Chaos Hunter not only shuts down Maliss, but in certain situations, it also helps unbrick awkward hands. For example, you can link it off with a Level 2.

Droll was great against Fuwa and Maxx "C", but it turned out to be terrible in the Maliss matchup—basically a dead card in your opening hand. Maybe later, once more people start running decks that counter Maliss, Droll will become more viable again.

Triple Tactics Talent wins games on its own in this format where everyone is heavy on hand traps. Being able to look at your opponent’s hand, rip a card to protect your plays, or take control of an Apollousa is incredibly strong.

For my climb to Master 1, I think I’ll play 3 Dominus Impulse, it’s clearly going to be one of the best hand traps to counter Maliss for decks that can run it.
