Notes & Combos

Found this deck to be much better into Maliss than my other deck (voiceless voice). The extra deck has several cards that you will probably not use, but they are nice there as options.

The Extra Deck Monsters that you will commonly summon are:

  • Both Kashtira Monsters
  • Big eye (if they have a big monster to steal and you are out of options)
  • Zeus/Typhon (for emergencies to to win more)
  • S:P (not super common)
  • Red-Eyes (will burn maliss pretty bad if you get it out, especially with something else like Shangri-Ira)

Going first you want to prefer going into Shangri-Ira over Arise-Heart, unless you can get both out in my experience. If you have enough gas and can get both out at the same time, you will pretty much win, but Shangri-Ira is slightly better to survive thier turn in my experience, as it has a bit of protection and can pull Fenrir or Unicorn out. If you have lancea in hand while going first, ideally wait to Fenrir/Unicorn/Ogre/Arise Heart and then use it, but you can just shotgun it against maliss.

Going second, you should have about a 60 percent chance of having either Chaos Hunter or Lancea in hand. These hurt Maliss bad, but also help against others.

This deck is fairly bricky, but you will pretty much always end on some kind of floodgate or activated banish. Soul Drain I got from Hobeng, didnt end up using it except for one or two games but seems solid.

Other cards to consider:

  1. Pot of Desires (originally used, but it kept getting rid of Fenrir)
  2. Mulcharmies (Dont own them but would be fine probably)
  3. Super-Poly (Great into Maliss and Blue Eyes)
