Notes & Combos

This was an odd month. I tried climbing with Yummy Orcust at first, but it ended up being super painful since that deck is a combination of two archetypes that both struggle into removal, in a format where everyone is trying to remove your normal summon. I had realized after the White Rabbit limit that Maliss had actually become fairly affordable to me with all the UR hits, given that I already had the Cyberse staples from the Mathmech days.

I jumped on the Maliss train pretty late. I basically self-taught the combos by playing some test hands in Solo Mode and observing Maliss opponents on ladder. It was a fun experience, and it feels incredible to draw up to 6 cards over the course of your and your opponent's turns (though as someone dueling against that for months, it does not feel good to be across the table from it).

Having played the deck for the first time, I can't imagine having access to all the advantage Red Ransom provides. I get why it got banned, though the deck still feels pretty strong without it.
