Notes & Combos
Dark Magician of Destruction is certainly a welcomed addition to this deck. Thanks to him and the Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon menace, now Diabellstar not only can work as a real starter for the deck, since the Chorozo line is better protected and feasible, but now playing her as the first thing in a turn is stronger since the opponent might need to spend more resources in stopping what she is trying to accomplish, which is something appreciated by cards like Silvy and Elzette, which are our best ways to start but are normally vulnerable to disruption, this is especially painful for Astellar.
Even in the case we get hit by Droll when Dark Magician searches the Gaze of Timaeus, you will, at the very least, have a Dragoon to attempt to survive the next turn, which...is not really that much but it can certainly feel better than set Woes and finishing the turn.
Master of Chaos is an option I decided to test given the flex spots this particular structure left available after taking out Saint Azamina, Guardian Chimera and Azamina Moa Regina and both Sinful Spoils of the White Forest and Azamina Debtors. In the practice, it was not summoned that much due to Dragoon being the one summoned by Timaeus, but the reasoning behind his inclusion is that he can be rather helpful for the grind games, as it can revive relevant cards and overall providing us some utility. Being able to successfully resummon an spend Azamina Ilia Silvia was the only time I used it until now. I think it´s worth testing it more.
Regarding this metagame, it has some downsides for White Forest, sadly. Given the prominence of K9 Vanquish Soul, Mulcharmy Purulia has become a popular card, which is effective against them, but it is also really effective against us too, a Maxx "C", essentially since we really summon from hand a lot even for minimal actions and have no real way to play around it without leaving a very lackluster endboard. Droll & Lock Bird is also a common sight due to Mitsurugi based decks.
The Going Second for the deck is also terrible, it can´t properly deal with stablished boards so more often than not it would get overwhelmed unless the opponent left a half board due to Fuwaloss. Given that Dracotail decks are not that concerned by this card, Effect Veiler and Infinity Impermanence along with **Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring **and Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion had to be brought.
