Notes & Combos

Here's a fun deck that tries to play both halves of the deck pretty equally instead of just playing one main engine and a sub-engine for support. The new support for Solfachord is very strong when it pops off, Happiness in particular is one of the strongest cards I've gotten to play, and you basically just get to print materials for ED plays. The K9 half is great for punishing hand or GY interactions, and leading with Noroi into a 4-mat Saryuja to dig for a starter is always an incredible feeling. In other words, this deck has a lot of "must-interrupt" lines that also either enable other parts of the deck to function if interrupted, or insulates the rest of the deck.

The non-engine lineup is a little weird, I only have one Belle which is why the list only has one, and I think I was on Nibiru before I decided that Purulia was a good pick in a format with K9 and VS. Similarly, I only have one Case for K9 and no Chaotic Elements because both of those cards being UR is a little obscene. That said, I also only play 1 Case and 0 CE in TCG, even before Case got limited in that format.

The Extra Deck's incredibly tight. I'm not super sure about Vallon, so I don't run that. Most of the time I find that Nash Knight stealing a body for material is good enough anyway. I went with Electrumite in the end because her draw 1 can trigger off Primoa adding herself back to hand from the scales, which is incredibly funny. Previously, I was on Beyond the Pendulum, but I got tired of holding my breath to see if they had a way to deny my pend summon while I was locked out of monster effects. K9 Solfachord is a deck that needs to use all three Gracias to bridge from Solfa to K9, so Musecia doesn't really work for this deck, as you need more flexibility on the search. That said, BTP can still be useful because her ability to pop 2 cards on the field can be very strong in the right circumstances. Finally, I'm on Exceed the Pendulum and Accesscode Talker because I've found that sometimes the deck just doesn't have enough to close out games, so being able to climb into Accesscode and recover some material in the process is really solid. If I had the space, I'd also consider Ty-Phon; Lupis into Ty-Phon is a really strong play.
