Notes & Combos

After the arrival of Kewl Tune, I stopped playing Odion and finished my climb to M5 with the list that won last week's Meta Weekly. After that, I decided to try the list I played last year in the TCG, which has had good results so far. The overall score is 15-8 (65.2%) with Blue-Eyes.

It's a list with a decent variety of non-engine cards, without additional consistency cards like Piri Reis, since the starters are all unlimited. The 43 cards help you see fewer bricks in your opening hand. In a deck like this, which is very solid as a going-first, I think it's necessary to play around 18+ non-engine cards to try to stop your opponent when you lose the coin flip. Otherwise, turning the game around can become impossible.

Overall, the win rate against Kewl Tune is good, and the deck can provide pleasant surprises even against V9. The toughest matchup is definitely against Radiant Typhoon.
