Notes & Combos

This season I decided not to deal with ED rip and level modulation BS and went with Ancient Gear. No Ancient Gear Duel this time because Dracotail and Lunalight weren't as popular as before and Vanquish Soul K9 was seen slightly less. Not running Lightning Storm and Harpie's Feather Duster to focus on monster removal as most strategies now don't have that many backrow. Red Reboot is there to sack Odion and Stun but it's replacable. Lava Golem isn't suppose to work. I included it because I faced a lot of combo decks in Diamond V and was lazy to adjust my deck afterwards. Climb to Master V was surprisingly smooth.

Matchups

Kewl Tune

Naturia Rosewhip is very popular now which is a problem. I was lucky to see Ultimate Slayer in most games against it. Though I did run 8 monster removal/negate in my deck. Fortunately deck is still new, most Kewl Tune players have no idea how to negate Malong with Zalen even with full hand knowledge.

Vanquish Soul K9

Tough matchup. They have the tools to deal with my stuffs. I was relying mostly on them not knowing how to play against Ancient Gear. Starting with board breaker can sometimes convince them to go into Hound instead of Werewolf.

HERO

Rarely face this deck. Darklaw doesn't auto win on its own but it limits a lot of plays.

Ryzeal Mitsurugi

This matchup more or less boils down to can I force out Mitsurugi Purification before using Droplet, and them respecting AG Duel or not.
