EASY MASTER TIER WITH MIKANKO!

Decklist + Replays: https://youtu.be/b4xRB5pLRTs 7-1 Against Snake-Eye 5-0 vs Rescue-Ace I didn't expect this to farm the meta so hard... It's actually a Mikanko's dream right now. Still would suck in tourneys but in bo1 ladder where 90% of games people let you go second and play into it, this **** FARMS.

Here are a few matchup notes:

  • Snake-Eye: This was actually a big surprise but I think you are favored here, this deck puts so much emphasis on I:P/apollousa or formula/generic synchros that it will always 100% play into thrust/talents. Putting so much of it's disruption into 1-2 monsters (often legit one with apollousa) makes it so easy to just lava golem/kaiju once they are summoned. Promethean princess is a targeting effect so you can ignore it and that's about where their disruption dries up outside of hand traps which this deck ignores all but ash blossom. I think a alot of what makes snake eye good is it's grind which against a deck that aims to bop you in one turn is just irrelevant.

  • Rescue-Ace: Hu-Li is this deck's father. I'm not joking the ENTIRE deck is targeting: both traps, promethean, preventor, turbulence, unicorn it's ALL TARGETING! If they are a build that sets up a big *** link (apollousa or terra) that is just 1 lava/kaiju and it's gone. I actually think this matchup is unlosable outside of bricks.

  • Labrynth: Uhhhhhhh, go next.

  • Hand traps: This deck is the ultimate in anti-tilt, the two things that tilt people the most are a certain cockroach and losing the cointoss, this deck ignores BOTH. There are very few hand traps that do anything; we rarely summon 5 so nibiru isnt an issue, imperm/veiler are target, maxx C doesnt matter as we summon like 3 times and your opponent doesnt get another turn to use the cards they drew. Only hand traps that matter are Droll, Ash and shifter (droll is often game ending) but even shifter can be played through like 50% of the time.

  • Everything else: As long as you are not against something super backrow heavy (which whithout thrust into duster is probably a loss) the deck will probably do fine. Biggest weakness of the deck is obviously your opponent simply passing if you choose to go second but even then there are ways to kill through an empty field it's just really annoying and often not possible.
