Notes & Combos

  • With 3 Havnis in the build, I thought 3 Black Goat was good to play to maximize the Havnis mills. Also Metanoise and Heartbeat not doing anything turn 0 or when discarded makes it a pretty clear choice to me to play Goat over those. Nepyrim becomes even better here with the ability to discard cards that enable more turn 0 plays off Havnis. And it remains excellent for making Dugares to extend play and Exciton to break boards.

  • Dispersion is in as another search target for Nepyrim. If you mill Nepyrim turn 0 you can grab dispersion to get you another Nepyrim for your turn as Droplet or Super Poly fodder.

  • I am playing 3 Fenrir and Sanct package despite the conflict with Havnis. In most games it won't affect the outcome since it's likely your Havnis is winning you the game or your opponent will clear your board. Fenrir is such a good card going first that I think it's worth playing over the alternatives. Fiendsmith cards suck to draw so I cut them down as much as possible. Worst case scenario you can just tribute summon Engraver.

  • Undying Legion is a great addition to Tear. It's a disruption you can make easily on top of Pilgrim Reaper and a Zeus pilot. With the Sanct package they don't have a sequence to negate so they will have to imperm Pilgrim Reaper which will still generate value at that point.

  • No Brilliant Fusion since it often gets stopped anyway by quickplay removal. You have plenty of ways to play without it and want room for mills and non-engine.
