Notes & Combos
This list was inspired by Jessie Kotton's which he made response to the Merrli ban however this was also before the Purrley takeover so I have made the adjustments I felt like I needed.
I was running Desires in place of Ash Blossom and I wanted to say I really do like Desires a lot, it's a tech that Jesse was pretty much always using even before the Merrli hit and yes of course it can backfire but more often than not you are benefitting hugely off it when it resolved. It also made Zeroborus instantly huge making it a very strong push for game. He was also on Super Poly but it definately has reduced value into the Purrley stuff that has since hit the game. In short, Desires felt really strong and I still actually do reccomend it if you wanted to try it.
So why did I take it out and what adjustments did I make? Well I needed to make room for Ash Blossom is the quick answer. It's not even because of Maxx C, Tear can confortably play into Maxx C. The problem was the abundance of Labyrinth players I encountered which made me really wish I had Ash Blossom so thats why I included it. I also made room for Duster and 2x Gameciel for outting the Purrley Noir amongst just Duster being a solid include in every deck.
I really like the Night Sword + Trick Clown combo as it increases mill quality and gives this deck a nice 4-Axis spam allowing you to access your potent ED cards like the Zoodiac package amongst the other toolbox cards that are good in many situations. Snow also contributes to the Rank 4 plays of course as well as a way to bolster your Zeroborus for very swift OTKs and remember you have attack boosting through Dugares should you need it.
Overall felt really good, I would prefer to be on Pot of Desires but the amount of Labyrinth I was facing really did demand I made room for 3 Ash Blossoms so I had to adapt.
There was so many times where I was hit with Dimension Barrier for fusions but the high access to rank 4s saved the day which allowed me just to get a 4 material Zeus by attacking with Boarbow.
