With Elfnote alllllll over the ladder it feels like quite a miserable time to be playing only because if they get to go uninterrupted they end up on 3-4 negates, a handrip and sending a monster back to your hand. If you end up having 1-2 hand traps when they go first sometimes it's enough to win into whatever half or quarter board they put up. I won quite a lot of matches against them going second if I started with a hand trap or two and waiting for the right moment.

Veiler and Imperm stocks are up this season as a result since literally 70% of my matches in the climb were against Elfnote. Best practice is to also throw out a charmy even if you're going first because they like to use Fidraulis or Regina while you're trying to set up, I've caught them using Regina early as a result.

Ogre is not as impactful as you might think only because they still get their effects off if you aren't destroying the Spell or Trap. I still played it for extra interruption. It does nothing to Dracotail or Branded which are still seeing play albeit not as common now.

Having Sorcerer definitely came in clutch a few times because sometimes you need an extra Aleister to fuse with. I feel like having 1-2 copies was fine, didn't want to brick on it as he himself does nothing.

Having 3x Grail is amazing because even though you can't search it this deck dies hard to Droll or sometimes even an Ash or Imperm, but this lets you summon almost any fusion of the ED to still get something on the field and hope your handtraps can get you through.

Having more Spells also lets you push harder into established boards and in my testing before I started running 3x Grail I had wished I were able to have 1 extra fusion for more disruption, so I was always glad to see it.

Going into Baronne and then Magistus Omega lets you get to Reminiscent without having to search it with Aiwass.

Usually if you can get to Hyperinvoked on the first turn and have the second Sword in wait it's GG. Most decks can't play without their extra deck, and Oceanus is THE GOAT! Elfnote has a hard time against it because they can't send their monsters to the Graveyard for cost.

Not too many replays with this deck since a lot of people would scoop if they had nothing as soon as they saw me normal summon Aleister and I was already at Diamond I before the new cards came out. A majority of my wins were boring but you can go check the replays I've got with my ID below.
