Notes & Combos

I’ve been playing consistently from Dia 3 to Master 1 with Invoked, and I have to say the deck is really good. However, the deck has a very technical core concept, which is why—in my opinion—it isn’t very beginner-friendly right now. But once you understand the concept behind Invoked, the deck is truly a Tier 2/3 contender.

Once you have access to Aleister and Invocation, the deck can sometimes play through 2–3 hand traps and still end up with solid disruption.

Additionally, thanks to S.Poly in combination with De Anima, the deck has very good options when going second, especially if the field spell is already on the field.

I’m not a fan of the Baron variant because, in my opinion, summoning Synchro Monsters isn’t part of the deck’s identity. Also, the Extra Deck is very tight, and I wanted the additional Fusion targets provided by De Anima and Caliga. Furthermore, you can easily end up with a Zoroa monster Negate using the Crowley combo, which is a better option anyway than Mechaba.

Oger, Puru, and Crown are only in the deck because of the Elfnote matchup. I still prioritize Crown over Droplet, since a Negate with Crown is essentially free, and especially in decks where you need cards in your hand—for Fusion Summons, for example—it would be very counterproductive to have to send them for Droplet.

I've also saved a few replays… feel free to check them out if you're interested.
