Notes & Combos
After playing around with Power Patron for some days, the deck bored me really quick. So I decided to take a comfort pick for my M1 climb and it went really well. Branded has a great matchup into Elfnotes and can easily outgrind the deck. Its also just a phenomenal BO1 deck that can play into Charmies/Maxx C very efficiently. I play this deck in Tcg for a while now and Im very familiar with it. There are some deckbuilding choices ghat might need some explaining, namely:
-
No Golden Swordsoul/Three Champions: Yes, those are very good cards and playing them is very valid. They add to the ceiling of the turn 1 Endboard and have some very cool applications. However they are certainly not mandatory and the deck works great without them. The main reason I dont play Golden is that its just really bad to draw and doesnt really do much going second. Three Champions is way better, mainly due to its removal effect, and i will replace the searing Lubellion with it, its just wasnt part of the master climb.
-
S:P Little Knight: A turn 3 powerhouse that deals with a lot of Problems. Comes up in about every third game I play and is often the nail in the coffin. Its not that spicy of a card for Branded but there are lots of "16th ED cards" in Branded and S:P is one of them. It also solos the mirror match.
-
Non engine: There are a lot of ways to play Branded in terms of non-engine. My approach was very simple. Beat elfnotes. So I cut pretty much every brick I could and played as much non engine as possible. The Forbidden cards were absolutely the best cards in my deck and won me so many games, I recommend everyone play at least 5. Ogre and Spark were also very strong, especially against the 2 decks I faced most: Elfnotes and Branded. Superpoly would for sure be good, if I had ever drawn it. Never happened tho and thats ok for a 2 off in 50 cards. Easily cuttable.
I'll leave some replays on my profile and will answer your questions in the comments should there be any.
