Notes & Combos
FIRST MASTER 1 WITH BRANDED DESPIA!
I played maliss from diamond 5 to master 5. Then I got stuck in Master. For some reason, whenever I play maliss I go 2nd 99% of the time and Master rank has so many antimeta deck. People are still main decking lancea, even Maliss players ( Those **** traitors). Then I tried despia, and went all the way the Master 3, then I messed up a lot of games and went back to Master 5. Maybe it's because this is at the end of the season I was able to reach Master 1. Anyway, we will take it.
This deck is pretty hard to pilot. There are so many ways to combo and a lot of combo pieces flying around. If you are not carefull or pick the wrong combo, your board will do nothing. The general rule of thumb I learn the hard way is to make sure you always have albaz in grave when you have quiem on the field. I can't say I mastered the deck, but I am at a pretty good level.
On the other hand, I believe despia can be any deck going second with decent hand ( Except Lab, Now they can banish whole whole extra deck for free ). Optimal endboard is a nightmare for your opponent and the deck setup enough interruption under maxx c to guaranty another turn in exchange for 1-2 draws. You always have follow-up for turn 3 . Overall, you have this feeling of Power; no matter what handtrap they throw at you, you still combo lol.
Now for the deck, just don't play Ash, you weakling. I only added HT that are win conditions by themselves like Maxx C. Muchalmy sucks, it's too conditional. Droll is there for those pesky xyz and ritual decks. Nib can be devastating especially if you have a bystial in hand. I might play 3 if I had a third one. Druisworm is nice vs detonator. Riping off their one card combo with 3T was a lot of too. The rest is mandatory especially the extra deck.
It feels great to do it with one of my favorite deck. Have fun and see you next time!
